Baxter Farm, Kent
Delivering on a tight schedule
K5 were approached by one of our previous clients to tender for the works, and were subsequently engaged under sub-contract to deliver enabling works, cut & fill, drainage & infrastructure and house foundations for the project along with all hard standings and roads.
Due to programme pressures already in existence prior to our involvement (introduced by planning constraints), it was essential that we proceeded with works quickly and efficiently.
Commencing on site within 2 weeks of the tender confirmation, we prioritised the immediate provision of access roads into the site to allow for an easier logistical approach. Standard trench footings soon followed for each residential plot to enable work above ground to begin.
This project is ongoing and we anticipate being able to make up time on the project to ensure delivery against the initial scheduled set by the client.

Under the contract we provided the following scope of services to our client:
- Pre-construction & planning management
- Technical review
- Enabling works
- Archeology support
- Cut, level and fill
- Drainage
- Power and utility ducting
- Construction of house footings to DPC
- Construction of roads
- Construction of hard standings
- Crane mats
- Temporary access roads
- Full construction management for supplied services
- Health & safety control
- Value & method engineering
- Logistical support

"We perform well under pressure and are pleased with the way we are making up time on the project."
